Silent J Music

Painting in upper right is

 titled 'Euphoria Statera'

Robert Marcson was born into a musical family. His mother was a violinist and orchestra conductor, his father a composer and concert pianist. His training is in classical music — he holds a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from the Eastman School of Music. As a Singer-Songwriter he has four albums to his credit. One of his songs was selected out of 18,000 entries to become a semi-finalist in the 2019 International Song Competition. An active writer and performer, he has performed around the world and taught for many years on the University level. Now retired from University teaching, he continues to perform both classical music concerts (as Fritz Gearhart), his original material as singer-songwriter (as Robert Marcson), and with his band (Mod Robert). Marcson is a writer who crafts richly detailed emotional songs full of insight and poignancy. His style is infused with jazz, folk and rock elements that he blends through the use of his guitar, piano and violin skills.
